Ethos is pleased to announce our collaboration with the PM Society in introducing a new ground-breaking award at the PM Society Digital Awards this year: the Proud to Promote Award. This award celebrates the ethical value of promoting medicines, recognising the significant impact of promotional campaigns on patients and society.

Why have we created this award and why now?

In our symposium last December, we spoke about the lack of recognition for company’s ethics and compliance excellence and the industry misconception that promotion cannot benefit the patient. After a few months of thinking, preparing and discussing with PMSoc we have now launched an award that:

✨ Recognises the impact of promotional campaigns for patients

✨ Demonstrates the achievement of overcoming compliance challenges

✨ Celebrates campaigns that challenge promotional conventions

At Ethos, we consider promotion of medicines, done well, to be a highly ethical activity that brings benefits to patients and society. Our initiation and funding of this award reflects our commitment to that principle.

What Sets the Proud to Promote Award Apart:

The Proud to Promote Award focuses on  promotion that directly benefits patients and society. This award is FREE to enter and open to entries that have participated in other selected categories.

What We’re Looking For:

Entries for the Proud to Promote Award should exemplify the ethical value of promoting medicines. We will want to read testimonials from individuals on the client team who can express their pride in working on the promotional campaign based on its impact on patients. The entry will also demonstrate how the company handled any compliance challenges appropriately. Bold campaigns that challenge promotional conventions will be especially interesting as innovation often leads to meaningful progress in our industry.

Entries for the Proud to Promote Award close on the 14th of May, with the awards ceremony set to take place on the 12th of September at The Brewery, London. An extension is available for an additional cost, but why wait?

We’re really excited to be supporting this award and can’t wait to read the entries. 🤩
